“Recycled water.
Recycling images.
Familiar scenery, offered to beautify the environment.
Necessary furniture, chosen designs.
I filmed the big manmade waterfall outside the recycling center as well as the waterfall and fountain at Seoul Children's Grand Park. These places, run by the government, have no admission charges and are free to visit. The water used for all the fountains and waterfalls in Seoul are recycled. I started this project with a thought that I wanted to show the cool water streams to the stacks of dusty chairs in the warehouse of the recycling center. At the same time, I'm thinking about the aesthetic standards for the manmade objects provided by the city and the standardized choices of the sold out furniture.”

필요한 가구, 선택된 디자인.
작품의 촬영장소로 서울시나 구에서 주민들이 무료로 관람할 수 있도록 인공적으로 만들어 놓은 폭포와 분수를 선택했다. 재활용센터의 바로 뒤에 보이는 거대한 인공폭포와 서울시 곳곳에 설치된 인공분수, 폭포는 물을 순환시켜 재활용하는 것이라고 한다. 재활용센터 창고에서 먼지만 쌓여가는 의자들에게 시원한 물줄기를 보여주고 싶다는 마음에서 이 작업을 시작했다. 동시에, 도시에서 제공하는 환경미화의 미적 기준과 팔려나가는 가구들의 선택 기준에 대해 생각해본다."
